FAQs
-
Rhythm-based classes mean that the music guides all the movement that we do. Most EDM songs have a build up before a big drop (or Beat Drop), so our instructors are trained in how to maximize movement so that when the Beat Drops, you will experience fun & energizing movements that are in sync with the beats.
-
Pulsewave Pilates runs 45 minutes — we start with a warm-up to find the rhythm, drop into beat-driven workout blocks that fire up your core, then cool it down so you leave floating (and glowing).
-
Every DJ—uh, instructor—has their own vibe, but we know blasting it too loud can kill the dance floor. That’s why our crew keeps the volume flowing just right, adjusting throughout class so you can enjoy the beat, not fight it. And yep — free earplugs are always at the door, just in case you want to turn the drop down a notch.
-
We’ve got you covered — literally. Our purple and green mats are waiting for you on the floor, glowing under the lights. But if you’ve got a favorite mat that feels like your dance partner, bring it along and make it part of the drop.
-
Not quite. Think of Pilates as the bassline and yoga as the melody. Pilates hones in on strength, control, and alignment — your core is basically the DJ. Yoga flows with breath, mindfulness, and stretch. Both are awesome, just different stages at the festival.
-
100%. Every legend on the dance floor had a first song. Our instructors drop modifications like remixes, so whether you’re new or seasoned, you’ll find your rhythm and dance the beat.
-
Absolutely — when done right. Pilates is like lowering the tempo but still feeling the beat. It builds strength without the heavy drops, focusing on control and alignment. Always let your instructor know what’s up so we can remix moves safely for you.
